I grew up in rural New Zealand.  My father farmed around 1700 sheep and 200 cattle.  I went to boarding school in the fifth largest city in New Zealand (Hamilton) graduating second from that school in the school certificate, then left for a non-typical career route.  Becoming an apprentice electrician I studied in parallel for a NZ certificate in Electrical Engineering over a four year period.  I became a certified electrician at the end of my 8000 hour apprenticeship, and received my certificate in engineering at the same time, then was accepted directly into the third year of Canterbury University's Electrical Engineering Degree progam, which I completed with honours two years later.  I worked for four more years as a design and trouble-shooting engineer on the 11kV and 400V networks in the Waikato region.  Then I resigned and left to study theology and missions full time in Australia for three years.  After completing diplomas in theology and missions I joined WEC International's North Africa team based in Paris.  Two years later I was married to Pascale who is French and after a time of adjustment we studied Arabic together in Jordan before moving for ministry to Mococco.  I worked in a computer lab for the re-education of children with special needs in Morocco for 5 years during which time I programmed an interface giving access to hundreds of free educatinal activities with audio instructions in dialectical Arabic.  We were expelled from Morocco and then moved to France where I have since been involved in satellite television ministries for North Africa.
